The Bronx Zoo

After being in a blogging lull I've decided to finally get my butt back in gear and show off the wonderful time we had when Norm's family visited.

On Wednesdays the Bronx Zoo allows you to give a donation instead of paying full price for zoo tickets. They also have the total experience tickets marked 1/2 half. So thanks to Normans mom she splurged and we got to enjoy many extras the zoo has to offer.

I was quite impressed with the zoo and the variety of animals housed there. It's literally right in the middle of the city and then covers over 265 acres filled with wild life. We got in right when they opened and stayed the whole day and still missed a few exhibits. If you are ever visiting the city and have young children this is a great place to spend the day!

Turns out Norm was quite the celebrity in the place. He was completely decked out that day in his own zoo attire and caught the attention of one of the workers. After some conversation we realized this woman happened to work with the legendary crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin himself (Normans idol!). She thought Norman was the coolest thing ever and wanted to take a picture with him.
