Let me take a second to brag...

Since beginning this medical school journey we always felt like where we were living at the time (whether it was Dominica, Michigan, Ocean City, Baltimore, New Jersey, and New York) was where we were meant to be. With each passing place we could look back and list the reasons of how our lives were blessed by spending time there. Except, for New Jersey. Clearly, those three months were my least favorite in the past 2 years. Until last week..
While Norm was at Raritan Bay hospital in New Jersey he came across a few interesting cases with his patients. A particular one caught his eye so he did a write up on the case and submitted it to the doctor in charge of the students. Well the doctor gave Norm a call last week and told him Norms paper was accepted and he was going to be presenting it at the Oncology Society of New Jersey's Clinical Cancer for Research annual program held at the Manor Restaurant. He'll be the first medical student to EVER present at there meeting. Let's just say the words, ''a new discovery to medicine'' were also thrown out there.
Here's a little snap shot of the line-up of speakers for the day.

What a great opportunity this is for Norm! We continue to be so proud of him for all the hard work he puts in. Years ago this whole process seemed like just a dream. It's becoming more and more a reality with each passing day.
So today he'll cross over that expensive bridge for the first time with a smile on his face. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers today!

Way to go future Dr. Norm Beatty!!
